Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to prepare or bring anything? ~ No preparation is required. Wear comfortable clothing, arrive a few minutes early if possible, and bring water if you’d like. Everything else will be provided for you.

What can I expect during my first session? ~ Your first session begins with a brief conversation about your goals, stress levels, and what brought you in. From there, we move into a calming, fully guided experience. Whether the modality is HeartMath®, Healing Touch®, Sound Healing, Guided Hypnotherapy, or Mindfulness, you will always remain comfortable, supported, and in control. No prior experience is needed.

What should I wear to my session? ~ Comfortable, nonrestrictive clothing is ideal. You will remain fully clothed for all services unless otherwise specified in treatment notes. There is no need for special attire.

How often should I come in for sessions? ~ This depends on your goals and stress levels. Many clients begin with weekly or bi-weekly sessions, then shift to monthly for maintenance. Together we can create a plan that feels supportive without being overwhelming.

Is Healing Touch® the same as massage? ~ No. Healing Touch® is a gentle, energy-based therapy that works with the body’s subtle energy systems. There is no deep pressure or muscle manipulation. Clients remain fully clothed, and touch—if used at all—is extremely light and intentional.

Can I combine different services in one session? ~ Yes. Many clients benefit from a blended approach, such as HeartMath® with Guided Hypnotherapy or Healing Touch® with Sound Healing. We can discuss your intentions and design a session that best supports you.

Is Hypnotherapy safe? ~ Yes. Guided Hypnotherapy is completely safe and you are always conscious and in control. It is simply a deeper state of relaxation that allows your mind to work more effectively with positive suggestions and supportive guidance.

What if I’m new to mindfulness or energy work? ~ Perfect — you’re in the right place. Sessions are designed to be gentle, accessible, and supportive for beginners. You don’t need any prior experience to benefit.

What is your cancellation policy? ~ Sessions may be canceled or rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee, as that time has been reserved exclusively for you.

Do you accept insurance? ~ At this time, services are self-pay only. However, many clients use HSA/FSA funds, depending on their account guidelines. A receipt can be provided upon request.

Where are you located? ~ Sacred Balance Wellness is located in Coon Rapids, MN 55433. Once a physical office space is finalized, the address will be updated here and on the Contact page.

How do I book a session? ~ You can schedule anytime through the Contact & Book Online page. Simply choose the service you’re interested in and submit your request. I will confirm your appointment personally.

How long are the sessions? ~ Most sessions are 60 minutes unless otherwise noted. Stress Coaching and Hypnotherapy sessions may vary slightly depending on your needs that day.

Will I be lying down or sitting? ~ It depends on the service. Healing Touch® and Sound Healing: typically lying down HeartMath®, Mindfulness, Stress Coaching: seated comfortably Hypnotherapy: seated or reclined, depending on preference You will always be able to choose what feels best.

What if I fall asleep during a session? ~ Totally normal! Many people drift in and out of sleep. Your body naturally relaxes during calming modalities — you will still receive the healing benefits.
